London FA and Middlesex FA team up to back Movember

We are supporting Movember to raise funds and awareness for men's health.

The London and Middlesex FA teams are backing Movember this year, raising funds and awareness for men’s health.

This year, we will be encouraging our clubs and leagues to grow their moustaches and take on the Movember challenge of running or walking 60km across November to raise funds for this important cause. We will also be sharing men’s health info to raise awareness of the issues that Movember tackle.

Movember takes on men’s mental health issues, prostate cancer and testicular cancer. Movember has funded more than 1,300 men’s health projects around the world, challenging the status quo, shaking up men’s health research and transforming the way health services reach and support men. Our fathers, partners, brothers and friends are facing a health crisis, yet it’s rarely talked about. Men are dying too young. We can’t afford to stay silent.

Last year, Hampton & Richmond FC raised £40,000 for Movember, featuring the charity logo as lead sponsor on their shirts. Players, staff and fans signed up to Movember.com, grew moustaches and took on other fundraising challenges to raise funds.

You can sign up as a team or individual on Movember.com here. Grow a moustache, run or walk Movember’s Move challenge, or do something completely different to raise funds for this great cause.

You can also join the Movember Sports Challenge for some friendly competition for a good cause. The challenge page shows you a fundraising table for sports teams across the UK.
